Pleasant Hill is a young and dynamic city tucked between Walnut Creek, Lafayette and Martinez. Ideal for growing families, Pleasant Hill has no shortage of parks, and small-town shopping along with festivals and other activities that are ideal for children of all ages. Pleasant Hill also offers a variety of housing options for its residents at a more affordable price in general, than many other areas in the East Bay.

For most of its limited history, Pleasant Hill was purely a residential district without a true downtown or main street. It wasn’t until 2000 that downtown Pleasant Hill finally opened, along with a variety of restaurants, bars, and a city hall. The main street in Pleasant Hill now boasts a vibrant downtown area that attracts a steady stream of visitors year-round.

Pleasant Hill is approximately 28 miles east of San Francisco and 50 miles north of Silicon Valley.
